The Solway Aviation Museum is run entirely by volunteers with no regular financial support. The funds that are generated through our visitors, donations, fundraising, or through successful grant applications goes towards the general running of the museum, and the maintenance of the aircraft and exhibits.
We offer many ways for you to assist in the upkeep of the museum. From a simple financial donation, volunteering some of your valuable time, or becoming a member.

If you would like to support the museum financially, you can do so by making a donation via the museums PayPal link. All transactions are processed by PayPal on behalf of the museum, and are completely secure.
You do not need a PayPal account in order to make a donation. PayPal supports all major debit and credit cards.
The Solway Aviation Museum does not collect or store any financial information.

Join Us
Volunteers help out in all areas of the museum. From museum guides and counter staff to helping maintain the museum, and the exhibits.
You would be provided with full training and uniform, and would work alongside existing team members. The hours are from 09.30 to 18.00. Own transport is essential due to our location at Carlisle Airport.
You can volunteer as much time as you like, but most volunteers work a couple of days per month.
