24 Hour Flyathon

The Flight Sim Centre at Newcastle-upon-Tyne held a 24 hour “Flyathon” on the 24th/25th October 2015 in the Boeing 737 simulator, in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.  It was a chance for the general public, pilots, experienced simmers and anyone with a love of aviation or the Great North Air Ambulance to donate for the chance to “fly” for an hour or more in the Boeing 737-NG simulator.

One of our dedicated volunteers Stephanie went over to take part and had a fantastic time.  Flying a circuit out of a Caribbean airport then a flight from Innsbruck in heavy snow conditions over the Alp’s.

The Flight Sim Centre are pleased to announce that they raised an amazing £1151.00 for the Great North Air Ambulance.  They will also be donating 20% of the Christmas Gift Voucher sales throughout November and December 2015.

Vulcan XH558 Final Fly Past

XH558 will be doing one final tour this coming weekend, 10th & 11th October 2015.  On the Saturday, she will be doing a Fly Past at Carlisle Airport.  This will take place at 14:20hrs and she will fly down runway 25 from East to West before departing towards the lake district.

Parking will be available and we will update everyone via Facebook & Twitter on Friday.  Please allow ample time to get parked and do not block access gates as emergency services could need access.

The Fly Past will be weather dependent on the day and we would like to request that you do not phone us or the Airport for updates.  We will keep our Facebook updated on the day.
